West-African Percussion rhythms from Guinea and surrounding countries,
collected from lessons and other sources since 1993, this website started in 1998

Here is a contribution by Moritz Köppen from germany on a rhythm that he learned from Famoudou Konate in april 2004. During his workshops he often shows rythms that are not so popular, because he wants to share these rhythms, that they cannot be forgotten.. So we are proud to make this small contribution to preserving this rhythm information on Kurunen Kun 'Do. Soon another one called Panthere will be presented as well.

"I would like to thank my teachers Martin Bernhard & Mamoudou "Delmundo" Keïta for their many lessons. Also thanks and respect to Arafan Touré, Ponda O' Bryan, Famoudou Konaté, Ibro Konaté, Abdoulay "Oke" Sene, Baba Touré, Momo Touré, Cécé Koly, Mamady Keïta and many others for real interesting workshops. They all shared with me their knowledge about traditional West-African Percussion. In these pages I share it again with you.."
